Colorful anecdotes and fun facts highlight this entertaining yet informative stroll through Salem’s downtown and waterfront neighborhoods. Discover the city’s connections to Nathaniel Hawthorne, “Monopoly”, Alexander Graham Bell, “Bewitched”, American presidents, “The Crucible”, and other significant people, places and events.

The Guide...
Since 1983, Jim McAllister has been sharing Salem’s “secrets and treasures” through his tours, books, newspaper columns, lectures, photographs and courses. He has appeared on the Today Show, “Chronicle”, Home and Garden TV, the History Channel, and National Public Radio.

Length of tour is approximately one hour.

Meets outside the Salem Visitor Center on New Liberty Street
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings at 9:30
May 14 - November 1 (except Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day)
No reservations required - we take everyone
